Small business operators are often embarrassed to say that they are having financial difficulties. I try to explain that there wouldn’t be a business in the world that hasn’t experienced cash flow problems at some time or another so don’t beat yourself up because you are having a tough time.
There are many other ways to measure success apart from purely monetary results. Business Success is achieved by having great products, offering exceptional service, having a strong rapport with your staff, and knowing within yourself that you have done a good job.
What I am going to disclose to you here are points that I apply in my business on a daily basis.
To be successful in business First, you have to love the business you do, this is very important if you want to be successful in your business. If you don’t like what you are doing then start planning to change the business you are in. It is amazing how much money you can make when you love what you do.

Learning how to run a successful business, here is a vital tip you should take note of. One of the biggest downfalls of small businesses is a lack of reliability. The biggest compliment I can get from a client is when they commend me for doing a job on time and on budget.
I have customers outside my country, I must tell you the fact that I might not be the best compare to what they want. but the reason why they still buy from me is that I always deliver their jobs on time.
I never knew this until my client said:
“Joshua, the reason why I like you and still work with you despite your location is that you always get my jobs done on time and waiting for my confirmation on the jobs, thanks for your patience and I will try to change from my end.
I was surprised when I got this comment from my client. I never knew delivering my jobs on time was actually helping me achieve great success in my business.
To be successful in your business you have to be reliable. Deliver your jobs when you say you will. this will make your customers trust you and be able to recommend you.
Every customer has what motivates them to buy and keep buying from you. And knowing why a customer will buy a product will make your business successful.
Be completely honest and ethical in every dealing that you have. It is important that you are able to walk down the street with your head held high.
To run a successful business you have to compliment everyone. Your family, your staff, and your customers. If you haven’t got anything nice to say, sell up and move away.
Take the time to organize those records, balance the cheque book, and clear the desk or tidy the workshop. Working in a cluttered environment invites
mistakes and inefficiency.
Iron those overalls, tidy the office, and put some flowers in the waiting room. If you look good you will feel good and your business will benefit.
Treating everyone equally as a customer will get more sales to your business. treat everyone as a potential customer if you want to run a successful business. Even if they are trying to sell something to you, one day they may be looking to buy something from you as well. why is this important to run a successful business?
There is something I do regularly. I have a daily target of how many new contacts I will add to my list. what do I do with them? after I have added them to my list, I will begin to educate them about my business which they might want to buy from me.
I don’t just go ahead to prospect them directly. Instead, I send them my blog articles. through my articles, they get to know me and what my business is all about.
Not just articles. but articles that will trigger them to buy after they have read it. Sometimes it might take some of them months to buy from me, while it takes some 1 or 2 years to finally buy.
You can’t run a successful business without getting customers to buy what you sell. the more satisfied customers you have, the more referrals they get to you.
Worrying about a bill never got it paid any faster and will never make your business successful
Spend time implementing some simple marketing ideas and figuring out how to get more customers in the door.
With the simple trick I just shared with you now, you can get customers that will buy from you if you implement it. worried about where to get people to add to your list? the easiest way is to join WhatsApp groups.
Get their contacts and try to message them individually by introducing yourself, 40 out of 100 will likely save your contact too. The next step is to start using your status to communicate with them. also, sometimes you can send a broadcast message, with an article to educate them about your business maybe once a week.
If they don’t buy that moment doesn’t mean they aren’t gonna buy from you later.
I use this trick to date and it has been working for me and has helped me run a successful business. without worrying about the lack of money for advertisement.
If you find yourself saying the dreaded words, ‘that’s the way we have always done it and that’s the way we are going to keep doing it’, perhaps you are not as flexible and open as you could be.
An idea that could make you a lot of money may be in the head of a friend or staff member who feels that you would not be receptive if they voiced their suggestion. Encourage innovative and open thinking.

You don’t get a medal if you work non-stop for ten years. you get hardened arteries, ulcers, and a sore back. It’s not about money, it’s about taking time for you.
It is a time to eat well, catch up with the friends that you are always too busy to see, throw the dog a Frisbee, see a movie, go fishing, or just catch up on missed sleep.
The key to being successful is taking calculated risks to help your business grow. Understanding risks and rewards include being smart about the timing of starting your business.
